Filaments Art Collective are a group of five Kent based contemporary artists - Elizabeth Burman, Karen Crosby, Rosie James, Ruth Payne and myself.
We create art events and installations using a range of media including light, thread, projections, paper, neon and reflective materials.
Our inaugural show light show in January 2020 took place in the ancient church of St Mary’s at Burham. Since then, we have held an annual event at St Mary’s and received several commissions.
Our works are often site-specific, responding to the local history, the natural environment, and the architecture of the buildings/spaces themselves. Depending on the project we might create works individually or work collaboratively.
